Peter Rohrsdorfer, born in Linz in 1966, studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts
Vienna. To deepen his knowledge, he completed masterclasses with major saxophonists such as
Eugène Rousseau, Daniel Deffayet, Jean-Marie Londeix, Ivan Roth and the Rascher Saxophone
Quartet.
He is a professor at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz and teaches at the
Landesmusikschule Ried/Innkreis as well as numerous workshops and seminars.
His further musical activity is characterized by his collaboration with renowned orchestras and
chamber music ensembles, such as the Wiener Philharmoniker, the RSO Vienna, the Bruckner
Ochester Linz, the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg and the Klangforum Wien.
Peter Rohrsdorfer is member of the Ensemble Wiener Collage and soprano saxophonist in the
saxophone quartet 4 SAXESS.
Numerous solo performances as well as the production of the solo CD „Sag’s/X klassisch“ round
off his musical work.
