Gabriela Mossyrsch first received harp lessons at the age of 9 with Hubert Jelinek, former harpist
of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. At the age of 18, she completed her concert diploma studies at the
University of Music in Graz and continued her studies at the Conservatoire National de Région de
Paris with Brigitte Sylvestre.
She is the leader of an international class for harp at the Music and Art Private University of
Vienna, and teaches at courses in Austria, France, Poland, Slovenia and China.
She has already gained symphonic orchestral experience from the age of 19 in orchestras like the
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wiener Symphoniker and the RSO Vienna and with famous
conductors including Pierre Boulez, Péter Eötvös, James Levine, Zubin Metha, Riccardo Muti and
Georges Prêtre. Gabriela Mossyrsch is solo harpist in the orchestra of the Volksoper Vienna.
