Lukas Thöni studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Konrad
Ragossnig, Alvaro Pierri and Walter Würdinger.
He has performed at the Festival Klangspuren, Festival TransArt Bolzano, Organ Festival
Lockenhaus, the Jazzwerkstatt Wien, Wien Modern, the Salzburger Biennale, the Wiener
Konzerthaus, the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Kings Place London and at the Alte Schmiede
Vienna.
He is guest musician of the Windkraft Ensemble for new music, the Austrian Ensemble for New
Music Salzburg, the Camerata Salzburg and the Mozarteumochester Salzburg.
Lukas Thöni is particularly interested in interdisciplinary projects between music, dance and
literature. He is a founding member of Call Our Shifts, an ensemble for contemporary improvised
music.
